The great writer Dacia Maraini and the designer Denis Guidone met for the first time on Thursday, 12 September to discuss about the unusual connections between literature and design, during the Festival “Il Teatro sull’ Acqua“, organized by NAVA Design and directed by Dacia Maraini herself. The literature competition launched during the event is called “My Book: Tell Your Story” and is addressed to all of whom consider writing as a form to express themselves.

Marco Nava – charmain of NAVA S.p.a. – introduced the event talking about how his company, since the establishment in 1970, has kept so far a strong connection with design; this started since the beginning with the project of Max Huber “Day by Day”, and continues today with international designers such as Naoto Fukasawa, Nendo e Karim Rashid.

Denis Guidone is one of the designers very connected to NAVA, who designed “My Book” and explained the importance of the competition launched: ” My Book, through the competition, finds a place in the present situation thanks to the connection between design and literature; and this connection wants to provoke and push our creativity because, after all, creativity is an important part for everyone…
