DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN’S RIDE 2014 OBIETTIVO RAGGIUNTO. $ 1.000.000 RACCOLTI PER LA LOTTA CONTRO IL CANCRO ALLA PROSTATA.
Yestarday, September 28th, the streets of more then 250 cities, in 57 countries all over the world, have been overrun by thousands riders who, all dressed up, met for the international event against the prostate cancer, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, riding their beloved motorcycles.
The third edition of the event has reunioned people passionated to every kind of ride, from the classics to the cafè racer, bobber and scrambler. They were all there with an unique purpose: being able to collect 1 million dollars to support the reserach against the prostate cancer.
And the target was widely achieved, thanks to the Triumph Motorcycles support – main sponsor of the initiative – which has spread the new of the event all over its 750 dealers in the world.
Milan, one of the most important fashion capitals, was one of the city with the largest number of partecipants in the world. More then 500 riders met in front of the Brian&Berry building, causing the city traffic almoust to stop completely.
” The italian attendance to this edition of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was very impressive. Given that in 2013 were organized just three rides, it is almoust unbelievable that Italy is the third country with the widest number of partecipants, just after Australia (the country which organized the whole event first) and USA” states Christophe Couet, Triumph Motorcycle Italy General Manager; “I was there during the ride in Milan. It was a success. Riders from all over the regione Lombardia stopped the city traffic almoust completely, parading with the most elegant outfits and with amazing motorcycles”.
