IL SOL LEVANTE A MILANO CON KUNIHIKO MURATA
From the 24th to the 27th October, the hand thrown ceramics and the calligraphics works of the Japanese entrepreneur/artist are displayed at the Swiss Corner in via Palestro 2, Milan.
The audience had the chance to admire – and buy – vases, plates, tea cups and calligraphic works in a display specifically made for the event by some Japanese woodworkers and inspired by the fire in the kiln in which Murata molds his clay pieces.
With and intented and concentrated expression on his face Kunihiko Murata, entrepreneur from Fukuoka with a lot of artistic passions, begins his own “calligraphic dance”. Just a blank paper in front of him. The brush in his hands follows his body movements, creating symbols that only the Japanese culture can decode but designing something armonic and elegant which can be appreciated all over the world.
It’s ten years now that Murata creates ceramic objects, decorationg them following everytime the inspiration of the moment, always with the same dedication and passion.
